Recently, the 'Development and Application of Gantry Welding Robot' project undertaken by CRHIC's Intelligent Engineering Research Institute passed acceptance and was put into use.
The gantry type intelligent steel bridge diaphragm welding robot independently developed by CRHIC has improved the programming efficiency and flexibility level of welding robot in the welding of steel bridge diaphragm units, greatly reducing the preparation time before welding; it enables overall scanning and positioning for the structural parts of the large size steel bridge to be welded, which enhances the efficiency and intelligent degree of automatic welding; it also realizes precise locating for starting point and end point of weld to ensure the actual length and position of weld are accurate.
