On January 18th, two 900t tyre transporter developed by China Railway Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd. (CRSIG) under China Railway Hi-tech Industry Co., Ltd. is loaded at Luojing Bulk Cargo Port of Shanghai Port. After traveling over 5000km on sea, they will reach the Port of Jakarta, Indonesia at the end of the month to transport and handle 1628 pieces of concrete box girders at the construction site of Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway. The total length of these box girders accounts for 35.3% of the total length of High-Speed Railway.

The 900t tyre transporter is a “Hercules” in railway construction. It is suitable for hoisting of 32m, 24m and 20m concrete box girders used for high-speed railways and passenger dedicated lines, longitudinal and transverse transportation on site, and hoisting of other engineering goods. Since its successful development in 2007, the transporter has hoisted and loaded more than 80,000 pieces of box girders weighing 450 tons, 600 tons and 900 tons.

CRSIG takes a leading position in the research and development of high-end railway construction equipment inChina. In the 131,000km railway construction inChina, the series of products developed by CRSIG, such as bridge erecting machine, track laying machine, girder crane, transporter and girder carrier, undertake 80% of the erecting and laying work. On the railway construction sites of dozens of countries, likeEthiopia,Saudi Arabia,India,Turkey,Thailand,Singapore,MyanmarandLaos, there is a presence CRSIG’s bridge erecting machine, track laying machine and much more.
