On May 25, China’s smallest diameter slurry balance TBM 'Hanfeng', developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. under CRHIC, successfully rolls off the production line. The equipment will be used in the Quality and Efficiency Improvement Project of Sewage Pipe Network in Quanshan District, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province.

The equipment has an excavation diameter of 2.845 meters, a total length of 155 meters. It is mainly used in the sewage pipe network project of Xi 'an North Road, Jianguo West Road and Hubei Road in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The TBM will tunnel a length of 2,774 meters and cross the strata of silty sand, silty clay, miscellaneous fill, silty soil mixed with silty sand, silt silty clay, etc. 

This project will systematically connect the main sewage pipes in four areas of Xuzhou urban area, including 'central business district', and comprehensively separate sewage main pipes and stormwater main pipes. With these efforts, it may set up the overall framework of stormwater and sewage diversion in main urban area of Xuzhou , and improve the capacity and level of urban domestic sewage collection and treatment on the whole.
