The First Steel Girder Segment of the World's Largest Span Double-Track Ballastless Track Bridge Successfully Erected
On March 2, the first steel-concrete beam segment of Baihe Yujiang Bridge of Nanning-Yulin Railway in Guangxi, the world's largest span double-track ballastless track bridge constructed by China Railway Jiujiang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. affiliated to CRHIC was successfully erected on the P4 tower of Nanning.
The Baihe Yujiang Bridge is a key control project of the Nanning-Yulin Railway. The main bridge is located near Baihe Town, Hengzhou City, Nanning, Guangxi. It is 612 meters long and spans the Yujiang River. According to the cable-stayed bridge scheme with steel-concrete composite beam, double-tower and double-cable plane, the middle span of the beam adopts steel-concrete composite beam, and the side span adopts concrete box girder. The main span measuring 330 meters. It is the double-track ballastless track bridge with the largest span in the world, providing a technical foundation for promoting ballastless track technology in the field of large span high speed railway bridges. The main bridge has two main towers in the east and west, rising to 146 meters of the same height of a 48-story building and adopting a diamond shape. China Railway Jiujiang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. is mainly responsible for the production and installation of the bridge’s steel structure.
