On March 31, 2022 local time, another controlled high-risk project of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway in Indonesia, the erection of the longest cross-highway box girder on the entire line was successfully completed. The bridge erecting machine developed by China Railway Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd. under CRHIC has accomplished the construction task with success, creating necessary conditions for the track laying construction of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway from Bandung to Jakarta.
With a total length of 142 kilometers and a maximum design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is a model project of Chin's HSR to implement the whole system, all elements and the entire industrial chain overseas for the first time.
This erection task belongs to the last high-risk and difficult construction work for the erection of the box girder of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway. Prior to construction, the JQS900 bridge erecting machine developed by China Railway Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd. under CRHIC was thoroughly inspected and it successfully completed the girder erection task.
China Railway Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd. has provided 11 sets of bridge erecting machines, girder transport vehicles, carriers and girder cranes for Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway. As for the transfer and erection task for a total of 2,025 box girders, 1,755 box girders have been erected at present with erection mileage exceeding 58 kilometers, accounting for 86% of the total. Since 2019, six service teams amounting 22 persons have been sent to Indonesia for equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance, fully guaranteeing the smooth progress of the landmark project of the Belt and Road Initiative.
