Recently, at the award-presenting ceremony of ITA (International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association) “Product/Equipment Innovation of the Year” held in Genoa, Italy, the “Ultra-Small Turning Radius Hard Rock TBM” independently developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. successfully stood out from 21 global finalists after multiple rounds of competition, winning the “Product/Equipment Innovation of the Year”.
The “Ultra-Small Turning Radius Hard Rock TBM” has broken through the limit of the conventional TBM turning radius limit of 300 meters, achieving a significant technical breakthrough from 300 meters to 30 meters. The equipment features good safety, high tunneling efficiency, strong adaptability, and flexible transfer capabilities in tunnel construction. It has been widely applied in major engineering fields such as pumped storage power stations, mining operations, and energy development across China.
