According to People’s Daily on April 19, as of 4 p.m. Beijing time that day, an accumulative total of 2,144 confirmed cases and 84 death toll in Bangladeshi.

Media in Bangladesh have also highly praised the scientific measures taken by Chinese companies against the pandemic and shown full confidence in the future cooperation between the countries in building the B&R Initiative. According to New National News, during the pandemic, Chinese contractors have laid a solid foundation for the smooth joint construction of the B&R Initiative. Financial Express reported that the joint efforts made by Bangladeshi and Chinese sides during the difficult time will strongly support and guarantee the future cooperation in the B&R Initiative.
