The expressway section stretches 9.86 kilometers from where Tuochuan Township in Jiangxi meets Qimen County in Anhui. The Fengshan Water Bridge and Nanshan Road Bridge are two major projects along the line, which collectively involve the erection of 156 60-meter-span and six 30-meter-span steel-concrete composite beams. Of them, the 60-meter-span beams are π-type steel-concrete composite beams with the largest span in China. The heaviest measures 380 tons in weight.
In terms of steel beam factory manufacturing, it needs to construct a 432m on-site assembly workshop, and arrange 4 sets of steel-concrete composite beam assembly jig frames, 2 steel beam storage areas and 1 reinforcement processing area. The construction is progressed as scheduled by means of indoor operation and multi-process overall planning. In terms of on-site factory assembly and composition, the steel-concrete composite beam is removed by jacking and transverse movement to prevent the cracking of concrete bridge deck caused by large span and external force. In terms of transportation and erection equipment development, JQ400-60 bridge erecting machine is independently developed to ensure the safe erection of steel-concrete composite beams.
