On the morning of August 9, the 'Red Rail', the permanent magnet maglev rail transit project test line jointly developed, designed and constructed by CRHIC, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, China Railway Liuyuan Group Co., Ltd., National Rare Earth Functional Materials Innovation Center and other entities, was completed in Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province.
The test line starts from Yongfeng Station (Xingguoxi Railway Station) in the south, constructs along the green belt in the east of Zhanqian Avenue, and ends at static debugging depot in the north. The total length of the main line is about 800 meters, all of which are elevated lines.
The 'Xingguo' train developed for the project by China Railway Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd. adopts 2-car formation, with a rated passenger capacity of 88 and the maximum designed speed of 80km/h. It features energy conservation and environmental protection, non-contact traction, strong climbing ability, small turning radius, low noise, etc.
The permanent magnetic suspended single turnout designed and developed for this project by China Railway Baoji Bridge Group Co., Ltd. integrated the permanent magnetic levitation technology and the rotary switch type into the manufacturing of suspended turnout for the first time, which allows for a stable and reliable line change of the suspended permanent magnetic levitation and fills the gap of this field.
China Railway Jiujiang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. undertook the construction of station building and static debugging depot of the 'Red Rail' project, as well as the civil engineering construction of concrete piers, pile foundations and pile caps along the line.
