The first round segment assembly of the main channel bridge of Changtai Yangtze River Bridge passes acceptance
Recently, the first round segment assembly of main structure steel truss girder and steel tower manufacturing project Lot CT-A6 of Changtai Yangtze River Bridge (river-crossing section) undertaken by China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group Co., Ltd. affiliated to CRHIC successfully passed acceptance. Changtai Yangtze River Bridge consists of main channel bridge, main channel bridge steel tower, Lu’anzhou non-navigable span bridge, Lu’anzhou channel bridge, Tianxingzhou channel bridge, and north-south approach bridge on both sides. It is the world's largest span cable-stayed bridge for both expressway and railway under construction, and the world's first river-crossing channel that integrates expressway, intercity railway, and first-class highway. The bridge will achieve 'four world's first' and 'six world's largest' records in terms of new structure, new material, new equipment and new technology.
800t crane ship successfully launches
Recently, the 800t crane ship developed by China Railway Engineering Machinery Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd. under CRHIC successfully launched in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. The ship will be used for lifting piers and beams of Dongwuyang Bridge and Xiashan Bridge of G1514 Ningde-Shangrao Expressway. Being a single deck non-self-propelled crane ship, the ship is 102 meters long, 36 meters wide and 6.8 meters deep with operating draft of 4 meters. It features fixed lifting and full-circle slewing lifting, with maximum lifting capacity being 800 tons and 650 tons respectively. The bottom of the ship is a double-layer structure that may minimize the damage to the crane ship during grounding in special circumstances. The crane arm of the ship can be placed parallel to the deck, so that it can meet the navigation limit of 50 meters. When operating, it can withstand wind force 8, and can safely anchor in case of wind force 10. Also it is classified by China Classification Society.
TBM 'Yuehai 42' successfully breaks through tunnels
Recently, TBM 'Yuehai 42' (CREC 806) developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. under CRHIC broke through the rocks in Dalingshan, Dongguan, Guangdong Province, symbolizing the 48 shield tunnels along the Pearl River Delta Water Resources Allocation Engineering were broken through and entered the full lining stage. Amid 48 TBMs applied to the project, 29 are provided by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. The TBM 'Yuehai 42' (CREC 806) successfully completing its driving has an excavation diameter of 8.23m and is the only open shield type TBM used in this project. Considering the granite-dominated hard rock geology in the construction section, the design team gave priority to the technical optimization of efficient rock breaking by cutting tools, TBM wear resistance and auxiliary support design, thus greatly improving the adaptability and reliability of the equipment under the geological conditions concerned and ensuring the tunnel was broken through as scheduled.
