The Peljesac Bridge is located in the south of Croatia and connects the Croatian mainland and the Peljesac Peninsula. It is the largest transportation infrastructure project since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Croatia. The bridge has a length of 2,440 meters, which is divided into 165 beam sections. China Railway Baoji Bridge Group Co., Ltd. (CRBG) is responsible for 81 beam sections from S8 to U14 and 18,000 tons of steel structure manufacture.
Since the official launch of the project in April 2019, CRBG has worked on the bridge, by practicing the highest construction standard, the most reasonable manufacturing process, the most stringent acceptance requirement and the most diligent attitude, and keeping in mind Premier Li Keqiang's request 'to build a high-quality and endurable bridge as scheduled, so that the Croatian people have earlier access to the convenience and well-being it brings.' After the outbreak of COVID-19, under the urgent domestic worries of resuming work and production and the huge pressure of overseas pandemic, the infrastructure construction personnel of CRBG quickly acted as 'Warriors moving against the hardship' to escort the smooth construction of the bridge.
