On February 26th, the 13th Middle East Rail is opened in Dubai International Exhibition Center, UAE. Under the unified planning of China Railway Group Limited, CRHIC attends the exhibition with models of Caiyun TBM, Chaotianmen Bridge and high-speed rail turnouts to show the latest achievements of China in high-end equipment manufacturing.
At the CRHIC exhibition stand, models of Caiyun TBM and Shantou Bay Tunnel slurry balance TBM have attracted an endless stream of overseas visitors, who look curiously at the two models and query about the working principle.
CRHIC has a long history of cooperation with the Middle East. The turnout and steel bridge products developed by CRHIC have long been exported to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and other countries. In 2015, the world's smallest hard rock TBM independently developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd.(CREEG) under CRHIC was used by CMC, a well-known builder in Italy, for the Beirut Water Diversion Project in Lebanon. When the project was completed in 2018, Lebanese citizens said goodbye to expensive barreled water. In 2016, CREEG provided Israel with six large-diameter earth pressure balance TBMs for the construction of Tel Aviv Light Rail’S Red Line Project. In 2018, CREEG customized two earth pressure balance TBMs for Dubai DS233/2 - Deep Buried Rainwater Tunnel Project, and the machine officially rolled off the production line in July of that year to serve the Expo 2020. Several officials from Dubai Municipality flew to China to witness the historic moment.
During the exhibition, the products exhibited by CRHIC attracted guests from the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, South Asia and other countries and regions, as well as CCTV and other domestic and foreign mainstream media. The industrial exhibition working group has invited China Arab TV, a local TV station in Dubai, to CRHIC exhibition stand for a special interview.
