Chengdu West Line Cross-Jiangxi River Bridge Is Closed
The top closure segment was properly lifted to the predetermined position recently, marking the successful closure of 'Chengdu West Line Cross-Jiangxi River Bridge', the difficult and special-shaped arch bridge in China. China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group Co., Ltd. affiliated to CRHIC participated in the bridge construction. As the bridge's arch ribs are spatially twisted and the main arch's steel structure wall plate is hyperboloid, it is necessary to address such challenges as hyperboloid molding of 8cm thick steel plate, welding of steel plate with minimum angle of 22° and circular seam welding of large segment curved thick plate.
Guangzhou Metro Cross Channel Is Completed
Guangzhou Metro cross channel designed and constructed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. (CREG) affiliated to CRHIC was successfully completed recently. Given the project characteristics, CREG adopted the methods of strengthening the structural strength of cutting wheel and optimizing the number of cutters during TBM design, continuously optimized and innovated the construction methods, and adopted launching and receiving with an angle. Thus many difficulties such as long distance, large included angle and upper soft lower hard geological condition were effectively solved, ensuring safe and efficient TBM driving.
Zhuji Intercity Jinhai Bridge Is Closed
Recently, Zhuji Intercity Jinhai Bridge was successfully closed. China Railway Jiujiang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. under CRHIC participated in the bridge construction by undertaking the manufacturing of more than 22,000 tons of steel box girders. It is the first highway and railway bridge built on the Pearl River Delta estuary, the world's first multi-tower cable-stayed bridge on the same floor for highway and railway, and the world's widest cable-stayed bridge for both highway and railway. Jinhai Bridge is the first to adopt four-column steel tower, cantilever steel box girder, tower beam consolidation and tower beam pier consolidation structure forms in China.
