TBM "Shancheng Zhengxian" Used for Chongqing Metro Rolls off Production Line

On September 20, the earth pressure balance shield machine 'Shancheng Zhengxian' (CREC 1221) developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd. under CRHIC rolled off production line in Deyang Base.

With excavation diameter of 8.83 meters, total length about 106 meters and weight being 1,100 tons, the machine will be used in the Chongqing Metro Line 27 Lot 10 project constructed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group. The R&D team has adopted targeted design to solve the difficulties in large cross-section and long distance tunneling, segment floating and muck removal, which further improves the stability of equipment and the adaptability to geology.
