Kiloton Class Single-Girder Bridge Erecting Machine Completes Erection out of Tunnel Entrance for the First Time

Recently, in the bid section of China Railway No.8 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. of Chengdu-Zigong Railway, the kiloton-class single-girder transport and erection equipment developed by China Railway Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd. under CRHIC successfully completed erection for the first time out of the No.3 Longquan Mountain Tunnel entrance. This is the first time that the company's kiloton-class single-girder bridge erecting machine has completed erection out of tunnel entrance. It overcame the following difficulties: the equipment is large, the equipment space at the tunnel entrance is limited, and there is large ramp and small curve.

This kiloton-class bridge erecting machine is a single-girder three-leg tunnel-crossing equipment. Through walking mode, passing through span with the front and middle leg driving arm to move longitudinally in place at one time, and fixed point lifting via the front and rear lifting trolleys, it guarantees high erection efficiency. The machine can be applied to the erection of a wide range of box girders, including the erection of standard and non-standard double-line full-span precast concrete box girders ranging from 24 meters to 40 meters. Upon simple structural transformation, it allows for the erection of single-line girders and single-line twin girders.

The Changjiang Road Viaduct Project on Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou Railway Opens to Traffic

On January 3, the construction of Changjiang Road Viaduct Project on Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou Railway, with participation of China Railway Jiujiang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. under CRHIC, was completed and it officially opened to traffic. The 3.6km long main bridge adopts two-way six-lane design, connecting the Wuhu Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge on Shanghai-Hebei-Hangzhou Railway and the urban road network by extending towards the south and north directions. China Railway Jiujiang Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd. undertakes the manufacturing and installation of steel girders and steel barriers weighing about 15,000 tons in eight sections of the whole line.
