At 11am on March 18, 2024, the completion ceremony of the fourth bridge linking Macau and Taipa, constructed by China Railway Baoji Bridge Group Co., Ltd. under CRHIC, was held at the project site, marking the full completion of Macau's first two-way eight-lane cross-sea bridge and a key land passage in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The main bridge of the fourth bridge linking Macau and Taipa adopts through-truss design. The bridge spans are arranged across a total length of 1,370 meters. The primary truss consists of two triangular truss systems with a single-box multi-chamber steel box girder positioned beneath. The construction utilizes a steel box and truss composite beam. The main bridge is constructed from high-strength steel, which is the highest grade in China. China Railway Baoji Bridge Group Co., Ltd., under CRHIC is responsible for manufacturing 37,000 tons of steel structure for the southern main bridge (encompassing 685 meters and weighing 25,000 tons) and the southern approach bridge (measuring 540 meters and weighing 12,000 tons).
